Free registration is open for course on

Smart, Sustainable and Resilient

Urban mobility

(starting in October 25, 2023)

The consortium of RESICITIES project is inviting graduate students from partner universities to apply for a course on Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Urban mobility that was developed and will be offered by a group of lecturers of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FTS CTU) during the period from October 25 to November 24, 2023. Each registered student will have free access to all course materials online and to the live webinar sessions that will be made available through Microsoft TEAMS group. The requirement to apply to the course is to be a graduate/postgraduate student currently enrolled in one of the partner universities of the consortium. This course will be composed by asynchronous learning sessions (learning according to the schedule of students), followed by online live classes to be delivered by assigned lecturers of FTS CTU and a Mobiity Week (intensive week with seminars and group activities from November 20 to November 24, 2023 in the premises of FTS CTU, Prague. RESICITIES is an education-oriented project for postgraduate students and academic staff undertaken by a group of four European universities. The consortium is formed by: The Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) University of Stavanger (UiS) Porto Business School (PBS) IPAG Business School Paris (IPAG) The project RESICITIES is aimed at: Creating educational content and organization of training activities that jointly contribute to the development of competences (knowledge, skills and abilities) among postgraduate students in the field of sustainable, collaborative and smart cities. The Leader and all four partner universities of the consortium will collaborate in the achievement of this objective. Improving the teaching skills of assigned academic staff of partner universities in subjects related to this thematic area through innovative teaching methods and an interactive virtual learning platform environment. Fostering an entrepreneurial, open and innovative higher education sector by promoting learning and teaching partnerships with commercial and non- commercial organisations in the private sector. Transforming postgraduate students and academic staff into active citizens and managers who will be well prepared to deal with the challenges of next decades in the urban environment in the environmental, social and economic contexts. Means to achieve the addressed goals: Encouragement of collaboration of enterprises from the private and public sector (through multiplier events) to ensure that the content to be created and provided to students will correspond to the relevant learning needs of the labour market and the wider society at the European level. Encouragement of a trans-disciplinary approach with innovative teaching methods for the physical academic mobility to create student engagement and active learning as well as to develop critical thinking skills. The online content to be created and made available in a Massive Open Online Course platform (MOOC) will take advantage of cloud computing tools.
