Activities in brief

The project RESICITIES has six planned courses for graduate/postgraduate students and three planned courses for academic staff . Some courses will have a blended mobility scheme which will consist in an intensive week of lectures to be delivered in the premises of the hosting partner university. A schedule of the learning activities oriented to postgraduate students is presented on the right. A schedule of the courses to be offered to academic staff of partner universities will be presented at the bottom of this page. More detailed information about the content and structure of learning sessions of each course will be provided in the section deliverables . In order to obtain more information about the courses that are currently being offered within this project to postgraduate students, please access the registration section. The educational online content will include the lectures in the form of text, figures, diagrams, and pre- recorded audio content or videos. It will also contain recommended external sources for consulting such as recommended readings and videos on platforms such as youtube. Students will have some quick exercises to accomplish throughout the tracks of each module during the asynchronous online learning sessions in the means of quizz and self-assessment opportunities. During and after the intensive week, students will be required to undertake final assignments in the form of problem-solving case studies or scenario-based questions, for example. Each course destined to postgraduate students will be hosted by a partner university of the consortium and whenever there will be a possibility to undertake the intensive week (blended mobility) in the premises of the hosting institution, selected students will receive scholarship in support for travel and accomodation abroad. Each partner university will be responsible for the selection process of their own students who will apply for each of those courses. Students who would like to participate in more than one course, including the blended mobility, shall contact their local coordinator (see who is your local project coordinator in Contact ) about the availability of vacancies and scholarships. The three courses oriented to the academic staff will be offered only from 2022 . Each course will be offered twice in two different semesters to be planned from June 2022 until October 2023. These courses are expected to be delivred entirely online with asynchronous learning sessions followed by an intensive week to be undertaken by means of tutoring sessions with workshop among the participants. In case there will be an opportunity to undertake a workshop on the topics related to these courses in the premises of the hosting university, all academic staff enrolled as participants in that course will be informed in advance. Learning Activities for graduate students:

The courses oriented to graduate students are organized as follows: Course 1 - Introduction to Smart and Resilient Cities Officially launched on October 26, 2021 (info here ). Currently available through Ryze app Developed by: Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU). Lecturer: Miroslav Svitek, Faculty of Transportation Sciences, CTU. First edition: web live lectures delivered through Microsoft Teams during 2 weeks from October 26 to November 9, 2021 targeted at graduate students. The webinars were recorded so that students also could attend them in asynchronous manner. Students were required to solve online quizzes after studying each online module of the course. Further editions: the online content, recorded lectures and assignments of this course have been implemented into the Ryze app. Course 2 - Risk, safety, economics and planning for smart cities Officially launched on November 15, 2021 (info here ). Currently available through Ryze app Developed by: University of Stavanger (UiS), Stavanger, Norway and Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), Czech Republic. Lecturers: Six lecturers of UiS and two lecturers of CTU. First edition: web live lectures delivered through ZOOM and Microsoft Teams from November 15 to November 30, 2021 targeted at graduate students. Learning activities for academic staff

The following courses are planned to be offered to the academic staff of partner universities of RESICITIES consortium: Course on University Social Responsibility To be developed by: Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) and IPAG Business School. Lecturers: one lecturer from CTU and one lecturer from IPAG. Expected term: from mid September to mid October 2023. Duration: 2 weeks (first week with asynchronous learning sessions and second week with live webinar and workshop session with participants. Course on Innovation Management in Academia To be developed by IPAG Business School. Lecturers: one or two lecturers from IPAG. Expected term: from mid October to the end of October 2023. Duration: 2 weeks (first week with asynchronous learning sessions and second week with live webinar and workshop session with participants. Course on Academic Entrepreneurship Developed by: Porto Business School. Lecturers: one lecturer from PBS. Officially launched on February 7, 2023 (more info here ). Duration: weekly online lectures (once per week) from February 7 to March 28, 2023 and a final (optional) workshop that was held in the premises of PBS in April 4- 5, 2023. How to apply for RESICITIES

Only postgraduate students or academic staff of partner universities of RESICITIES consortium can apply to one of the courses offered. They are welcomed to contact the project coordinator of their respective universities as specified in the contact section and submit their registration form filled out by e-mail as available in the section Registration . A student can apply for as many courses as he/she wises as well as for the scholarship in support of travel and accomodation costs in the case that course will have a blended mobility scheme included during the intensive week with face-to-face learning sessions with the lecturers. However, the decision about the acceptance of the application of students will depend on the approval by their local project coordinator. Some requirements or criteria for acceptance may apply in some courses and in this case they will be presented in advance to students. Academic staff interested in attending the courses oriented for them are also welcomed to fill out and submit the registration form in the Registration section to their local project coordinator.

Multiplier events

The consortium will organize two multiplier events in order to promote and disseminate the educational resources that will be made available in the OER platform. Among expected attendees of these events will be representatives of local public organizations, NGOs, enterprises and other universities or technical schools. The first multiplier event is scheduled to be held in Porto (Portugal) during the spring of 2023. The second multiplier event is scheduled to be held in Prague (Czech Republic) in October 2023. Both events will be destined to a group of 50 participants and will present the objectives of the project, the execution phases and the online educational resources that will be created. The events will take place in the form of seminars, workshop and roundtable among project participants and external stakeholders to discuss how the OER can serve as inspiration for other entities beyond the consortium partner universities. Associated partners will be welcomed and invited to participate and create a synergy for future cooperation in this field. .
