Four top European universities jointly engaged in

building resilience through a multidisciplinary

educational initiative for smart, sustainable and

collaborative cities.

RESICITIES is a project funded by the key action Strategic Partnerships for higher education under Erasmus+ programme. IT involves a joint cooperation between top universities from the following countries: Czech Republic, Norway, Portugal and France. The consortium has two technical universities and two business schools which in turn is expected to provide a multidisciplinary approach in higher education for postgraduate students in the field of smart, sustainable and collaborative cities. The project is aimed to provide a multidisciplinary formation to postgraduate students by means of an innovative online educational resources platform (OER) and blended learning mobility activities on topics related to smart, sustainable and collaborative cities. It will also provide educational resources for academic staff of partner universities in topics such as university social responsibility, innovation management in academia and in academic entrepreneurship. The assigned lecturers of partner universities will develop several modules that will form eight courses, being five of them oriented to postgraduate students and three of them oriented to academic staff. Each course will be composed by asynchronous online learning sessions and followed by an intensive week of face-to-face classes with the lecturers either in the classroom or online, depending on the situation regarding the covid-19 pandemic. The consortium will also organize two multiplier events in order to promote and disseminate the educational resources that will be made available in the OER platform. Among expected attendees of these events will be representatives of local public organizations, NGOs, enterprises and other universities or technical schools.

Recognition or validation of the learning outcomes

The students who will accomplish each course will be awarded with a certificate issued by the hosting university with a certain amount of ECTS credits associated to that. The academic staff who will accomplish each course will also be awarded with a certificate issued by the hosting university, although without ECTS credits.
